Having originally trained in textile design I have always had a love of colour and texture and it is this that I now explore through photographing the natural world. It has only been since leaving a full time career, as an Art Therapist, that I have had the time and space to experiment with digital photography.  In the past I had only ever used a camera as a means of recording what I saw.  I found the rules and technique of traditional photography very limiting and so it was a revelation to see what could be achieved with Multiple Exposures and Intentional Camera Movement (ICM). Suddenly the freedom was there and I felt I could use the camera to express what I wanted to, in my own way.
